On the Issues

Georgia should continue to prioritize workforce training and job creation — especially in rural Georgia. As a business owner, Khan knows how vital this is. He is a strong supporter of raising the federal minimum wage to $15/hr and will champion bills and programs offering vocational and higher education training with tax-break incentives. We must support unions and initiatives that improve workplace conditions, keep jobs local, and reduce foreign trade incentives that ship work overseas.

Education is the greatest asset of any nation. Khan will work to empower parents at the local level to be participants in their children's education — parents have a right to know what is being taught. He opposes woke, politically motivated lessons and supports creating an accurate history curriculum for the next generation. Students need more than reading and writing — they need critical thinking, creativity, resilience, and collaboration. We cannot move them along unless they are ready. Khan also strongly supports Higher Education for All through tax breaks and encouragements for college and vocational training.

Khan is a strong supporter of government-backed programs to learn skilled trades. Vocational training must be as accessible and valued as a university degree. He will champion incentives and give-backs for those who need training — building a workforce that can support Georgia's economy for generations. Skilled immigrants have also powered America's innovation economy; smart policies that expand skilled visa programs put more Americans to work.

Healthcare is a human right. Khan supports free and affordable healthcare for all — a system accountable to patients and communities, not insurance and pharmaceutical companies seeking to pad their profits. He was shocked to learn how many Georgians have not taken advantage of available healthcare. He will educate and connect communities to the benefits they deserve. Khan also strongly supports senior housing and additional affordable housing tax breaks to offset the cost of homeownership.

Khan is in favor of giving Georgians more tax breaks for owning their homes to offset costs and taxes. He supports expanded senior housing programs and affordable housing initiatives that make homeownership achievable across all income levels. Every Georgian deserves a safe, stable place to call home.

Khan is 100% in favor of religious and faith-based education in public schools — otherwise he believes their funding should be reconsidered. Parents who choose not to send their children to school for faith reasons should have the full right to opt out or choose private school. As a Muslim married to a Baptist, who raised his son Aaron in the awareness of both faiths, Khan believes tolerance to all faiths is vital — and that returning to faith-based values and traditions is essential to restoring our moral foundation.

Khan is proudly 100% pro-life and supports enshrining life in the Georgia constitution. Life is God's blessing and we do not have the right to terminate it. In cases where there is immediate danger to the mother and all alternatives have failed, he believes cases should be reviewed individually. Life is precious and must be protected.

The Second Amendment is under attack and Khan will oppose all efforts to infringe on our constitutional freedoms. The Second Amendment was put in place to protect us from tyranny and must be defended. At the same time, Khan believes in responsible gun control and gun safety education — because protecting rights and promoting responsible ownership go hand in hand.

As an Asian immigrant who has watched America's reparation and Confederate debates unfold, Khan believes we cannot rewrite history because we don't like it. History is our only connection to our past — it must be preserved, respected, and kept intact. He opposes reparations. He supports recognizing General Lee as a Southern Legend alongside Dr. King, and advocates for a "King-Lee Holiday" on the 3rd Monday in January to bring awareness to our full history. Statues and monuments are not endorsements — they are records. Destroying them destroys self-determination. All Lives Matter — Black, White, Spanish, Asian — we all bleed red.

As an immigrant himself, Khan knows this issue personally. Georgia is not a sanctuary state. He opposes blanket pardons for illegal entry but supports a comprehensive plan that fixes the system, secures the border, and provides a pathway to citizenship for DREAMers, farmworkers, and essential workers who are part of the fabric of our community. Immigrants are not our enemies — skilled immigrants have powered America's innovation economy. The answer is an open heart with a legal process, not open borders and not closed hearts.

We spend billions each year on drug war prohibition. That money can be better spent supporting communities and addressing root causes. Khan supports decriminalizing marijuana for personal and medical use, legal regulation and safer supply policies, and ending civil punishments that criminalize addiction. Doctors, social workers, and teachers should be part of the support system — not instruments of punishment. All users — crack, cocaine, meth, pills, and other substances — deserve equal access to help. Khan supports Overdose Prevention Centers (OPCs) that bring public drug use indoors, provide sterile supplies, and connect people to addiction services and social support.

Through our actions at home and leadership abroad, the United States must do its part to build a zero-carbon future that creates good jobs and ensures a healthy, livable planet for generations to come. Khan believes environmental stewardship and economic growth can and must go hand in hand.

We must combat all terrorism head-on and empower our security personnel to protect us — both at our borders and across all domestic and foreign assets. Cyber terrorism is increasing and must be treated as seriously as physical threats. Khan supports a strong, focused security policy that keeps Georgians and Americans safe without overextending our forces across the globe.

Khan prioritizes anti-corruption and governmental accountability. He will seek to make it harder for criminality to take root, promote stable and accountable government, and level the playing field for businesses across Georgia. Those Good Ole Boy systems should be systematically prosecuted for any violation of rights, equality, or fairness. It is time to stand up for our ideals and take on the status quo.
